ISOLAJT is my fusion of Isola - the Italian word for “island” - and my initials, JT. Through this brand, I capture the essence of the island landscapes and cultures I’ve experienced throughout my travels. Sicily, my ancestral homeland, is at the heart of my inspiration. Each design reflects the beauty, heritage, and spirit of the roots that shaped me. With ISOLAJT, I blend beachwear and streetwear to create pieces that carry the soul of distant shores. My T‑shirts and other products are available on my Redbubble shop, bringing the island spirit to people who wear them in Sicily and abroad. 

 

​Although I am half Sicilian, I’ve always felt Sicily living inside me - not as a childhood place, but as a feeling, a pulse, a kind of inherited memory. Even though I didn’t grow up on the island, its spirit shaped the world around me. The stories, the gestures, the intensity, the warmth - they were woven into my family, my upbringing, and the way I learned to see the world.​

When I create, that Sicilian part of me rises to the surface. It’s in the colours I’m drawn to, the shapes I sketch, the way I chase emotion and atmosphere over perfection. My artwork becomes a way of reaching toward a homeland I’ve known through blood, stories, and instinct - a place that feels familiar even from far away. Sicily isn’t just a location to me; it’s a compass, a source of energy, a reminder of where my roots begin.​

 

Every time I design something for ISOLAJT, I feel that connection deepen. It’s like stitching together pieces of myself - past, present, and imagined - and letting the island speak through my lines and colours. My work becomes a bridge between where I am and where I come from, between the islands I’ve visited and the one that shaped my identity long before I was born. I don’t try to be anything other than myself. And when I look inward, when I trace my inspiration back to its source, I always end up in the same places - Sicily and even Abruzzo.

And though Sicily is the heartbeat of my inspiration, my Abruzzese heritage also lives within me - in the way I connect to mountains, nature, and the grounded strength of the land. Both identities shape me in different ways, and together they form the compass I create from.

My roots begin there. 

My creativity begins there. 

My soul is Sicilian and Abruzzese -

born of the sea and the mountains, 

carrying the warmth of the island
